Here are some of the photo shoots that I was able to use in my videos and I was unable to upload my project because the file what too large.;
For my Internship project, I am tasked to create an advertisement for the business social media accounts. I was able to create several while also completing day to day tasks. Roughly every day I get assigned mini projects to work on such as small ads and inventory. For my main video, I used several editing apps and was told to I had full creative freedom. The skills needed for this are pretty basic video editing skills but creativity is key. My mentor has access to several editing apps that have premium subscriptions so I has able to put quality into my work which made my job more meaning.
A lot of my advocacy opportunities came from my mentor. When he assigns me work to do he always asks for my input before I start which gives me the chance to express whatever is on my mind. I have a lot of freedom around the workspace and the energy is a lot similar to the feeling I get when its pre exhibition. I like it, it puts me in a good work pace because I know what I have to do and I know I’m going to get it done. Another situation was when I had to work at the digital register, I would ask for a rundown on how to handle the online purchase orders and returns or exchanges because it was kinda tricky and I didn’t want to be struggling when I was with a customer. I really put in all my creative energy when working on videos and social media posts because It doesn’t feel like work. I’m here editing videos of people partying and coming up with names for some of the clothing. I have a great time coming up with conversation with customers because a lot of them are very social and so they are easy to talk to.
When first walking in I knew that I was going to have a great time. There was music in the background and colorful festival gear on the rack it felt like a party. What struck me about the work space was how it was arranged. The front of the store had all the merchandise and in the back was the workshop where you can see how everything got made. My colleges are really nice and helpful especially when I was first learning how things worked around the office. What I like most about my job is my work, what they are having me do is create how to videos and advertisements that go on their Instagram and website. I know that the work ahead of me is going to get difficult, but I am very confident in my skills and have no doubt about it. I'm very excited to be working big projects with my mentor Micheal, he mentioned working on drone footage which really has me excited. I'm was a little nervous about working the cash register but my college Makenna was really helpful and reassured me that it was really easy. Over all I am a great time and I am really learning and getting a lot out of my Internship.
